If you’ve ever had a spray tan fade faster than expected, it’s usually caused by a few common habits that are easy to fix. Hot showers, harsh soaps, and lack of hydration are the biggest culprits because they strip the skin and cause uneven fading. Wearing tight clothing during the first few hours after your tan can also rub the solution off before it fully develops. Even sweating too soon, especially from workouts, can create streaks or spots.
